Where do therapy sessions occur?

Highview Speech Pathology provides mobile therapy, which can occur in the comfort of your own home, at school or day care, or in a community-based setting, depending on need. We serve clients in the Somerset Hills and greater Morristown area. If you would like to know if we travel to your area, we welcome you to contact us.

What does a typical therapy session look like?

Speech language therapy sessions are typically 30-45 minutes long, depending on the client’s needs and attention span. Parent/caregiver participation is often encouraged, and family education is a part of the therapy process. Sessions are highly individualized with activities that are selected to target speech & language goals, while providing adequate stimulation and motivation for the clients.

Sessions are 30-45 minutes long, depending on the client's needs and attention span. We always take time to discuss the session and activities for carryover with the client or parents (for home sessions), or to report to parents/caregivers the (for daycare/school sessions).

Why might you opt for private speech therapy?

• To help with carryover of skills that are being addressed in the school setting

• For people who may not qualify for speech and language therapy in their school or community-based setting, despite the presence of a disorder

• If there is a preference for more individualized therapy than is being offered in the school setting

Will my insurance cover private speech therapy?

We are a private pay practice to provide the highest level of care the way we believe best serves our clients without being restricted by insurance policies. We do accept HSA/FSA cards.  We recommend that you reach out to your health insurance provider to determine your out-of-network benefits (coverage) and any documentation that is required for reimbursement.  Fees for treatment and evaluation vary and will be provided upon request.
